Mango Salsa on KADI 99.5 FM

Tomorrow, Thursday June 4, beginning at 7:45 am I will be doing a short Tupperware demonstration on the radio at 99HitFM at KADI 99.5 FM. It will be spread out during breaks in the normal programming, so I will take it step by step until around 8:30 am. I am so excited because I will demo the mango salsa using the Quick Chef. It will be a lot of fun. I hope you can listen in!

If you do not live in the Springfield area, you can hear it via live streaming at 99HitFM.com.

Another Tupperware meeting?

Last night I attended yet another meeting hosted by my director, Valli. If you had asked me when I signed up for Tupperware in January of this year if I am willing to attend meetings, go to training sessions, and go to rallies, my response would have been a resounding, "No!"

I have changed my mind. Part of the reason my thinking has changed is a result of our sagging economy. The fact is that I had signed up for this job thinking I could earn a little extra cash. Turns out I need this job. I hadn't planned for the financial strain our family is experiencing. I am grateful to have an opportunity to increase income for my family without having to abandon our family business or have regular office hours that interfere with time designated for my family. Tupperware fits the need.

The second reason is that Valli has been such a huge encouragement in the business. She has me convinced that I really can do this. I have always hated sales. My mother can sell anything. Growing up I would be handed an Avon sack and be instructed to run it up to the neighbor's house. I hated this chore because I was (am) basically shy. It still takes a great deal of "sucking it up" to force myself to make the calls required to generate business. Valli has me convinced I can learn how to do this and do it well. When I consider the extra meetings as training sessions, I find it much easier to find the time to attend them.

At last night's New Consultant Training session, my new friend Ashley and I got some personal training by Valli who is a pro. She gave us a set of 10 challenges to meet within the next four weeks. Had she handed me this list a month ago, I would have considered them impossible. Having received them last night, I realized I have already crossed off seven of them. I couldn't believe it! But the reason I was able to do this is because I am relying on Valli to lead me in the right direction. I have to trust that she really knows what she is doing and to do as she instructs - even if it is out of my comfort zone. And it is paying off.

In January, I had one party. In February I had two. This month I believe I will have 6 or so. Valli's teaching is taking hold and I am learning how to be a successful Tupperware consultant! As I build my own team of consultants, I will work hard to emulate what Valli is teaching and I will encourage and instruct my team members how to build their own successful business.

Becoming a consultant is easier than ever before. After paying for the kit (a bargain price for a some of the best pieces Tupperware offers), each new consultant is required to have only one party within 30 days. That's it! After the one party, each person should be able to tell if this is something they really want to pursue. And with a terrific upline that includes the likes of Valli, well anyone can succeed.

If you know someone who wants to earn an extra $100 a month, or if you know someone who wants a career that is flexible and family-friendly, have them give me a call. Could be that Tupperware will be the perfect fit for them too.

Wahoo!

I am excited to use this medium to share my love for Tupperware and to share the exciting opportunities Tupperware has to offer customers and consultants. The benefits Tupperware has to offer can be summarized by the letters HOME.

H is for Home
One of the primary reasons people consider getting into the Tupperware business is the flexibility it offers so that parents can focus on their number one priority: their families. The products are all designed to provide convenience, safety, health, and economy for every home.

O is for Opportunity
Tupperware has something to offer for everyone. Shoppers have the convenience of shopping from home or via the internet. Hosts have party consultants available to help plan the event and even prepare the menu. Consultants get a flexible schedule that pays well and offers lots of benefits including insurance, a supportive upline, marketing tools, and perks such as free Tupperware, travel, and cars.

M is for Money
Consultants earn at least 25% of their sales; and who couldn't use some extra cash these days? Add to that the money that is saved when food lasts longer and containers last.

E is for Environment
Tupperware is THE green company. When I sold Tupperware twenty years ago (and I don't feel old enough to be able to admit that) the emphasis was on buying in bulk to save money and packaging. Back then, being a new mom, saving money was important. Today when I look at the 20 year old Modular Mates in my cupboard, I marvel at how wonderful they still look and how well they have performed over the years. The fact that they are not in some landfill and have not been replaced over and again, speaks of Tupperware's quality and durability.

Some of my favorite tools in my kitchen I acquired 20 years ago from Tupperware. And since Tupperware still has that famous guarantee, the pieces that have worn out with repeated use have been replaced at no cost to me.

And, oh my gosh!, the new catalog is so exciting. If you haven't seen one, check out my website at http://my2.tupperwae.com/darlaz to see all the new stuff. Tupperware isn't just colorful plastics anymore. Although they still carry the classics you grew up with, Tupperware now has food prep tools and cookware that you will not believe. And it is all backed up by the Tupperware guarantee.

If you want to be added to my emailing list, just drop me a line at darlaz@my2.tupperware.com. I'll share the bargains; I'll share the information; I'll share the wealth; I'll share the opportunties.
